De Britse bank Barclays wil een klantvriendelijker imago. Je vindt er voortaan geen pennen meer die aan de ketting liggen. Op de nieuwe pennen staat Take me. I’m yours of Borrowed from my bank.

Vooral het taalgebruik in de kantoren moet anders:

  • ATM (automatic teller machine) wordt Hole in the Wall.
  • Reception wordt I’d love to Help?
  • Counter service, please queue here wordt This way to the counter.
  • Pay in cash or cheques wordt Money in.
  • Withdraw cash wordt Money out.

Als je binnenkomt, staat er te lezen: Through this door walk the nicest people in the world.
