Event management lijkt me een fijn vak om te studeren. Richard Bailey van de Leeds Metropolitan University legt uit waarin het verschilt van public relations:

Public relations practitioners deal in ideas (shaping them, communicating them, persuading others of them); event managers deal in the practicalities of project plans (risks, costs, deadlines, dealing with suppliers).
